Paintings At Rockefeller Grand Lobby
It’s been very cold in our area these days. I can’t do very much now that both our hot and cold water pipes in the kitchen got frozen. The dishes are piling up (tears in my eyes). And so to take away my feeling depressed, I looked over my computer photos in the past that looked Summer-ish and entertaining.
Here’s a few snapshots that I have when we visited Rockefeller or GE building in NYC. I remember the lobby was very busy and it’s full of interesting art and architecture. The wall painting or murals were painted by a Spanish Catalan artist named Josep Maria Sert. The said mural is all about “American Progress”. My husband pointed to me that Abraham Lincoln is in it and its history says that influential people such as Mahatma Gandhi and Ralph Waldo Emerson were in it too. Enjoy!
